When possible, we will direct users to free and Open-Source alternatives to Windows and Mac software.
I have commercially supported Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Redhat Linux for a Fortune 500 company. My current operating systems include Ubuntu 9:10, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
My love for computers started back in the early 80 with the
Commodore 64 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_64 back in the early 80s
Commodore Amiga 500 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_500 in the late 80s
Windows 3.1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Windows_3.11_workspace.png running on an AMD 386 DX40 Desktop computer with a 5 and 1/4 inch floppy disk http://dictionary.zdnet.com/definition/floppy+disk.html. in the early 90s
My first experience with Linux was the Mandrake disk that I purchased for $19.95 at the mall back in 1998.
There have been many systems since the list above; some have been purchased and others have been built from scratch. Ubuntu or some other flavor of Linux always makes its way onto each and every PC that we own. Clark Computer Consulting is an advocate for all forms of free and Open-Source software.
