One Response to French national police switch from XP to Ubuntu and save millions

  1. Rich Rodriguez says:

So France’s national police gave up on Windows and went with Ubuntu for all their computer systems. Not a surprise to me since the French are good at surrendering. ;)

Seriously, that is one big feather in the cap for open-source software, for a national governmental agency to switch to one and away from the Microsoft juggernaut.

I use OpenOffice.org, Audacity, Inkscape and GIMPshop on my PC and am very happy with how they work so well.
